Serving Lackawanna County & all of NEPA
The biggest check you will ever write deserves a lawyer who reads every page.
At most closings, the lender has a lawyer and the title company works for itself. You sign a hundred pages nobody explained. Nepa & McGraw sits on your side of the table: a local attorney who reviews everything before you sign, answers your questions in plain English, and charges a clear, flat fee.
Real estate closings, wills and estates, elder law, and general practice.
Residential real estate closings
Someone at the closing table who works only for you
Buying or selling a home in Lackawanna County is the largest transaction most families ever make. The bank protects the bank. The title company protects the title company. Your attorney protects you. Nepa & McGraw handles closings for buyers and sellers across Northeastern Pennsylvania, from the agreement of sale to the day you get the keys.
Every document, read before you sign
The agreement of sale, the title report, the deed, the settlement statement. We review each one and flag anything that costs you money or rights, before it is final.
Title insurance, handled in-house
The firm provides real estate title insurance services, so the title search, the policy, and the legal review happen under one roof instead of across three vendors.
A clear, flat fee
You will know what the legal work costs before we start. No hourly meter running while you wait for the keys.
Buying, selling, or refinancing? Bring us the agreement before you sign it if you can. A short review early is worth more than a rescue later.
Wills, estates & elder law
The will you keep putting off takes about an hour
Most people know they need one. Most people wait anyway, and the people they love inherit the confusion. One conversation at our office puts your wishes on paper, names the people you trust, and lets you stop thinking about it.
Wills and living trusts
A will that says what you actually want, in language the court will honor. Trusts where they make sense, not where they just add pages.
Elder law and planning ahead
Powers of attorney, health care directives, and planning that protects a lifetime of work if care is ever needed. Easier to do early than in a crisis.
Estates and probate
When you lose someone, the paperwork should not be your burden. We guide executors and families through probate and estate administration step by step.
Veterans and special needs planning
Planning built around the benefits and protections your family depends on, so a well-meant gift never costs someone their support.
The attorneys
Two lawyers you can actually reach
When you call Nepa & McGraw, you talk to the attorney handling your matter. Not a call center, not a case manager. Both partners built their careers in Northeastern Pennsylvania and practice here today.
